As I look back on this season of my life, I’m filled with deep gratitude—for the people, lessons, and experiences that have shaped every part of who I am. From artist to founder, from teacher to mother, each chapter has brought its own challenges and blessings. This month, I’m taking a moment to pause and truly honor the journey—every performance, project, and breakthrough that’s helped me grow into the woman I am today.

From my earliest performances to recent milestones that have stretched and inspired me, the path has been anything but linear—but it’s been rich with purpose. Building Girls Make Beats from a small dream into a movement that empowers girls to find their voices through music has been one of the most fulfilling parts of my life. This year, hosting our first-ever Girls Make Beats Summit—bringing together hundreds of girls to create, learn, and connect—was a defining moment. Seeing their confidence bloom reminded me why this mission matters so deeply.

Through it all, my family has been my anchor. Their love and support have carried me through the toughest moments and celebrated with me in the brightest ones. And as a mother of two incredible boys, I’ve discovered a new dimension of purpose. Motherhood has been the most profound teacher—reminding me daily of what truly matters, grounding me in love, patience, and gratitude. My boys inspire me to lead by example and to show them that passion and purpose can coexist with parenthood.

This year also marks a personal shift—reconnecting with the artist within. For a long time, I poured so much energy into uplifting others that I almost forgot how powerful it feels to create for myself. Finding the confidence to dive back into my artistry has been both healing and empowering. Music has always been my first love, and stepping back into that space feels like coming home.

I’m also grateful for moments that remind me how full-circle life can be—like being honored at the SONA Awards, with Janelle Monáe, someone I once taught music production to, presenting me with the award. That experience reminded me that when you pour into your purpose with authenticity and heart, the universe finds beautiful ways to pour back into you.

As I look ahead, I carry immense gratitude—for growth, for grace, and for the people who’ve supported me every step of the way. Every experience has shaped me, every challenge has strengthened me, and every success has been sweeter because of the journey it took to get there.

This month—and beyond—I encourage you to reflect on your own path. Celebrate your wins, honor your growth, and give thanks for every step. Because gratitude turns every experience into a gift, and every moment into a lesson.
